IAFF Local 21 Candidate Screening – Ward 4 City Council 

On May 20th, IAFF Local 21 Saint Paul Firefighters will be conducting our official screening process for candidates running to represent Ward 4 on the Saint Paul City Council. As your firefighters and paramedics, we are deeply committed to public safety, strong communities, and protecting the rights of working people.

Our screening process focuses on the key issues that matter to our members and the people we serve — including:

-Commitment to public safety investment
-Support for safe staffing of first responders and emergency services
-Advocacy for fair labor practices and workers’ rights
-A proven record (or strong plan) to improve Saint Paul for all

We thank the candidates for taking the time to meet with us and share their vision. A final endorsement decision will be made in June, and we’ll keep our community updated every step of the way.
