It is with profound sadness that we inform you today of the passing of Sharyl Saver, wife of Jason Saver, Squad 1 B Shift. Sharyl died following a long battle with cancer on the night of July 5, 2011.
Recently, we requested monetary donations for Jason and his family to offset the mounting medical bills associated with fighting this terrible disease. In addition, many of you have set aside time to cover Jason’s shifts allowing him to focus on Sharyl’s well-being and the care of his young children, Jake (9) and Abby (8). Your generosity has been overwhelming and your support very much appreciated.
We ask that you continue to show your support for Jason, especially during these initial stages of putting the pieces back together following such a tremendous and heart-breaking loss. We are still encouraging members to cover a 12 or 24 hour shift for him until he notifies us he is ready to return to work. We have extended the availability of shifts through December 2011. Please refer to the Jason Saver Page on this website for available dates.
Again, we want to sincerely thank you for your help during this difficult time for Jason and his family.
Fraternally,
