Obviously there have been many frustrations and questions with the new FSA/HRA transition. So far, with the exception of what would be described as poor communication from/between both the city and 121benefits to our members, everything seems to be accurate. You will notice that all dollars rolled into the 121benefits from Cielostar are off by 10%. You can still sign into your Cielostar account to confirm this is the case. We have been told 100% of your money is still yours and available but they only display 90% of it. This is still bizarre but that’s how it is at this point and it does not appear to be malicious or a fee-based transaction. We will continue to explore/monitor the issue. You may also see small transactions, both deductions and deposits, that you did not submit or claim. We have been told these are due to our accounts being in interest allocating accounts that are tied to the market. We are also going to explore this as well to have a better understanding.
PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU CAN SIGN INTO YOUR ACCOUNTS AT THIS TIME. Go to 121benefits.com. Both your username and password are your social security number without any spaces. YOU NEED TO SIGN UP FIRST AT THE WEBSITE, then you are able to change your username and password. Once this is complete you can download app from the AppStore and access through there.
Additionally, ALL CLAIMS FOR 2019 NEED TO BE MADE BY FEBRUARY 15, 2020. There has been conflicting information given to us but this is the correct date and deadline.
Lastly, if you are interested, please download the app “Virgin Pulse” and start getting registered so you can receive the $900 given to us by the city into our HRA’s. The letters you need to type in to sign up is “C” “I” “T” to get to the “City of St Paul.” It’s an interactive app that has you complete various health objectives that are very easy to complete. It is up to you, but $900 x 20 year career is $18,000 into your HRA.
Sorry for the long read but hopefully it clears up some concerns. This obviously is a fluid process unfortunately, so please continue to be patient and stay tuned. If you have any further questions/concerns you can call/text BRIGL.
