Comments:	In May of this year I was in your city attending meetings and was staying at the Crowne Plaza Riverfront in St. Paul. On the evening of May 6th I had returned to my hotel room after dinner and soon became ill. To make a long story short I called the front desk of the hotel which in turn called 911. Within minutes members of Medic 04 were in my room. As they were checking me out I went into cardiac arrest. Well, after a couple of good shocks and some CPR, I was back. I was transported to Regions Hospital where I received a stent to correct a 90% blockage. After several months of rest and rehab I returned to work full time. My wife was told by one of the doctors that I was a lucky man. I told my wife that it was not just luck. The St Paul firefighters were there when I needed them and had the skills needed to save my life. Response time was critical in my situation. Minutes made the difference in me living or dying. I will be forever grateful to the members of Medic 04 and all the members of the St Paul Fire Department. I am hopeful that the Mayor and the Council can reach an agreement that ensures the safety of the visitors, the citizens, and firefighters of St. Paul.

Comments:	I was just browsing Minnesota Fire Department websites and came across yours. I like the web design and format of it. The photo gallery is well organized compared to other sites. My grandfather (Earl McKenna) was a former St. Paul Firefighter (Station 7) for many years. I remember growing up and visiting him on his shift days at the station and touring and hanging with the crew. His enthusiasm and dedication for the SPFD encouraged me to pursue a firefighting career in Iowa (all be it a POC career).
