It is with deep regret that Saint Paul Fire Captain, Tom Bever, shares with us the passing of his mother Karen Joanne Bever.  Karen passed away peacefully yesterday after a long battle with cancer.  One of her last requests was selfless, asking for any and all donations to go towards the non-profit Shield616.  This company recognizes the need for protection to all members of Public Safety, including Police, Firefighters and EMS Providers.  Shield616 works to outfit service men and women with tactical body armor.
